In order to ensure that current and future requirements are encompassed in any solution that is proposed, the GO InfoTek team works together with the customer throughout the entire analysis and design process.

The emergence of new networking technologies has created numerous protocols,  media types and data signaling technologies that can be

managed through a structured cabling system. Presently, it appears that high-speed, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable has become the preference of network engineers and a standard in the industry. GO InfoTek has both the technical knowledge and the practical experience required installing and maintaining such network cabling systems.


All GO InfoTek designs and installations are in compliance with the following technical standards for building communications cabling systems. These standards have been developed by industry professionals with the primary intent to identify requirements that support multi-product and multi-vendor networking solutions.

  • ANSI/TIA/EIA-569-A Commercial Building Standard for Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces
  • ANSI/TIA/EIA-570 Residential and Light Commercial Telecommunications Wiring Standard
  • ANSI/TIA/EIA-606 Administration Standard for the Telecom Infrastructure of Commercial Buildings
  • ANSI/TIA/EIA-607 Grounding and Bonding Requirements for Telecom in Commercial Buildings

Vendor Independence

Being totally vendor independent, GO InfoTek tailors its network cabling designs to meet the customer's functional and budgetary needs on an objective basis. GO InfoTek is also an authorized reseller for several manufacturers, giving the best prices available on a wide range of equipment.


Our capabilities include all phases of system design, from capacity planning to structured cabling system specification and implementation. We strictly adhere to TIA/EIA standards, and all components specified are of high quality (AMP, Lucent, Nordex, Panduit etc.). We have CAD/VISIO capability and systems administration procedures not only to plan entire networks, but to also maintain them through several years of additions, moves, and changes.

Our cabling technicians and engineers provide a full range of cabling related services from site surveys, proposals and quotations based on customer needs and requirements to full installations and maintenance services from a minimum of one cable to large structured wiring schemes of many hundreds of cables.

Contracts can be carried out with very short lead times and with the flexibility to work out of normal office hours if required. All work is completed on schedule with minimal disruption to normal office routines.

Technicians are able to install, certify, test and service a wide variety of cabling that includes:

  • Category 5 Cabling - Fast Ethernet, Token Ring, IBM3270 and AS400
  • Category 6 Cabling - Gigabitt Ethernet, ATM
  • Fiber Optic Cabling - LAN/WAN applications
  • Voice Cabling - PBX
  • Coax Cabling - ArcNet, Ethernet and video applications

All installations are certified to ensure optimum performance levels and compliance with EIA/TIA standards. Floor plans and "as built" plans, along with hard copy test results are also made available.

The quality of performance for any structured cable network depends on the installation. All GO InfoTek technicians are trained and maintain expertise in cable system installations.
